OK … it’s September which means it’s time for the new season of shows to start up … this week is particularily heavy with premieres for the Carder household … lessee … Monday night we’ve got the CSI: Miami premiere for Shari … Sunday night is the start of the next season of The Amazing Race … Thursday sees the return of our Thursday night favourite, Survivor … plus the final season for ER starts that night too …
Hmmmm … anything else?

Just a random occurance … but I was browsing through my Cafe Press account … yes honey, I was thinking of designing some new shirts … and randomly checking through my order history someone actually ORDERED ONE OF MY T-SHIRTS!!!
Granted the person probably just randomly came across it and liked the slogan I had across the front … and she probably didn’t know that I had my logo on the back of the shirt … but still … that means I’ve got a little bit of random advertising out in the wilds of … hold on, let me check …OKLAHOMA!!!
So to you … checking … Charissa Sharp, I say THANK YOU!!! You’ve just made my day!
So Brianna had her first trip to the ER yesterday … poor little thing was thrashing about and managed to scratch her eye … not the lid mind you, but her actual EYEBALL … she’s OK … and she’s going through 24 hours of ointment directly on her eye … but those blue little eyes still shine brightly for her mom and dad!
Couple of random notes … first one is that today is the 100th birthday of the General … Motors that is … the various arms of the company existed prior to this date in history, but this was the day when they first came together to form the General … too bad they’re losing billions of dollars and can’t throw a proper party …
Finally … I’ve been plugging away on a web project … specifically an office pool management site … for right now, it’s just doing football pick ‘em pools … but I’m hoping to branch out into other pools as well … the site’s over here but you probably won’t be able to see much … I’ve got it locked down … for now …
Quick hit … but when I watched this video, I almost cried out from laughing so hard … it’s for reasons like this that you gotta love the Mythbusters!

Now onto nerdy stuff … so you may be familiar with Google … they’ve made a couple of applications or two which have proven kinda popular … but they’ve just released their very own browser, called Chrome … it’s an open source browser, and from first appearances it borrows heavily from Firefox … which as some of you may know is my current favourite among browsers …
Chrome is talking about some very amibitious ideas, between memory management and handling javascript right down to privacy and anti-phising tools … I’ve pulled it down and will give it a try for a little bit … it might be worth your while to give it a try too … 
So I’m always passing along articles I find to my darling wife … specifically ones which deal with other gamers and how they deal with their significant others and their love of games …
So after I passed along that one article across to Shari … she responded by saying that it’s not my choice in hobbies that she doesn’t get … it’s that she’d rather see me doing something else with my time … and that she wanted to know when someone wrote an article about World of Warcraft vs housework …
Does anyone know if they HAVE a vaccuming sim game out there? Maybe I should write one …
So this past weekend was Little B’s four month birthday … I noticed that she didn’t receive any cards to mark the occassion … well I guess none of you will get the cute little smile for a week or two …
It was a good weekend … we had the Stickwoods down for a BBQ and enjoyed being eaten by some bugs … and little B got to celebrate her four months of being out of the womb with her Aunt Lesley and Uncle Dennis … I’m sure we’ve got photos, and I’ll post them up soon enough …
Clearly I’m having fun with the new backend to the site … more specifically all the new toys which have been afforded to me to play with … So here’s a bunch of photos from Scott and Cindy’s wedding which happened this past weekend … good times, good times … I heard the Emcee was the balls …

The new web server is allowing me to do some pretty nice things … including the ability to run a gallery now … so if you click on that photo it’ll take you away to a whole bunch of cutsie baby Brie photos … yay!
If you were to look up the migration patterns of the fabled Canadian Black Box, you would find that it has travelled far over the years … it was up in Vaughn, then Richmond Hill, next down to Toronto and most recently out to Oakville …
However it has made it’s biggest move yet … if you’re reading this post then you are witnessing the migration of the Black Box from a simple old machine sitting in a room in my house out to a proper hosting facility on god knows what kind of hardware … that’s right, I’ve finally bit the bullet and setup the Box Site on a proper web host … Host Papa for those of you who care …
All of this is of course due in large part to the migration off of Domino … and with the web site gone, there are practically no reasons left to be running Domino at home … TRULY … a sad sad day …
