Hey there all of my faithful readers! All three of you! I know that Christmas has already passed but i wanted to put a little note up here to wish you all the best during this holiday season from the Carder Clan on Litchfield!

Shari and I had a nice little Christmas this year … saw a WHOLE lotta family … we went down to Niagara Falls to catch the lights on the falls … Shari got to go and see White Christmas at the Sony Centre … formerly the Hummingbird Centre … Me? Well I’ve had my nose into a couple of new games, just enjoying some down time to get my game on!

And what about swag? Well let’s just say the missus and I were quite happy with what we scored … so if you’re one of the people who showed us some love in the old fashioned commercial sense … thanks again!

We’re heading up to the cottage this weekend for New Year’s … so this should be the last post for the year! So we’ll see you in 2008!

OK … so we’re back from the ultrasound … and the kid is definately swimming around in there!

So this is the kid … he or she is facing down, and you can see their massive melon on the left … if you look real close you can see the spine along the top … it does have arms and legs, it just decided not to show off the mighty pipes for this particular suite of photos …

Shari and I head for the doctor for the first ultrasound today … hopefully I’ll have some pictures to put up for you kids later …

Alright, I know that the first day of winter was a couple of weeks back … but as I was just waiting for my train, it started snowing … the iPod had Run Runaway by the Irish Descendants playing … and I couldn’t help but smile …
I almost started dancing … … Winter’s here for me …

OK … I might have heard something about this … but to actually see confirmation of it? Is scary to say the least …

Yes I used to watch this with Gordie and Katie every Friday night along with the Dukes of Hazzard … I also used to eat toothpaste but I got over that as well now didn’t I?

Plus … KITT was a Trans-Am … not a Mustang! How the hell did GM let THAT one get away? Did they blow the budget on landing the Transformers license? Yes yes yes, ONE of theTransformers was a Ford … but did you note it was a bad guy? Hell yeah …

Alright … so as you know I’ve been having a bad week … and I needed something to cheer me up a little … found something …

Now … these are not the intros to the best cartoons … these are the best intros FOR cartoons … please keep that in mind … and personally? I LOVED Mask! I don’t know why that sticks out so much, but it just does and makes me smile … m-m-m-mask-MASK!!!

OK … so I was in at work on the weekend … big move … we were shuffling a large number of servers from one building to another … and the ones which were remaining were getting thrown into new a new rack configuration … so effectively we moved an entire data centre … no small task right?

Then we had a problem with one of the two main Toronto mail servers … it lost all the data for every mail file in Toronto … <sigh>

So I spent a large portion of Sunday and Monday trying to fix that and recover from tape … so what’s my reward? Getting some kind of illness which resembled food poisoning … can’t say for sure if that’s what it actually was as I didn’t get to eat much over Sunday and Monday … I’m only just now starting to get some of my strength back, and my stomach feels like it’s been doing crunches for three days straight …

So when I get back to the office with what little strength I have? It’s tapped to solve all the various complications of the server crash from the weekend … <double sigh>

So yes … send your sympathy and condolences right on to me … I need them all … clearly …

And no … the server crashing was NOT my fault … despite any historical precedences which some of you might refer to …

forgot to mention … Shari’s mom picked up the Transformers movie for me … which was a REALLY sweet score on her part … nicely done Mom in Law! However, we went to put the disc in last night … and it’s got a huge defect right on the disc. Not the kind of things which you can just clean off or anything … so we’re going to have to figure out a way to exchange the damned thing …

Alright, so I’m about a week and a half behind in posting this … sorry about that … but I want to throw out a big thanks to everyone who helped me celebrate my birthday … from those who sent out a simple birthday e-mail … to those who helped me celebrate it with a little bit of Guitar Hero rockin out … thank you.

Yes, the gang got together and picked up Guitar Hero III for me … yes, I’ve beaten it on Easy already … no, I have not beaten it on any other difficulty because it gets HARD real quick … but I’m loving the game no matter what!

As is usual, I picked up a little sumthin sumthin for myself … a new phone … it’s not really an iPod killer, but it does bring a lot of the iTouch features to the table … personally, I’ve been dying for some kind of a PDA device and this thing meets those requirement in spades! I’m probably going to end up redoing whole parts of my web site just so that I can use the mobile browser on this thing …

So why has this message been delayed? Well … on top of having soooo many event during my birthday week (I had cake on 6 of the 7 nights) the hard drive in my laptop also crashed last week. While this may have not been a traumatic experience … it was time consuming as I had to rebuild the damned thing and get all of my stuff back on there.

Then … we had other events going on … such as Gingerbread this past weekend. Which went off beautifully. Also Shari had her Body Shop Xmas party on Sunday night. Which also went off without a hitch. So for all the events that have occured in the past two weeks, I’m actually looking forward to a quiet week or two before Christmas really starts to ramp up.

Leander pointed out to me on Facebook that I had unlocked an achievement … I just forgot to post it is all …

Shari and I were up in Stoufville visiting the rents on Monday … because of my birthday … and Mom brought out was is officially the first gifts for the baby … a pair of little jumpers … they were cute and all … but Mom started walking them around the room … THAT … was when this pregnancy took a step to a WHOLE new level … at this time next year, that little jumper will be filled with a mini me … and Shari of course …
