Who Should I Mention?

Thursday, November 2nd, 2006

So it’s a slow Survivor night … only Morgan showed up tonight … for those of you not in the know, Shari and I normally have around a half dozen to a dozen people show up on Thursdays …

Morgan gave Shari a massage the other day …

Morgan was eating too many Halloween treats and now her car is full of little candy wrappers …

Morgan doesn’t smell like poop …

BTW … Morgan apparently reads the blog every now and then … just to see if I mention anything about her … so let’s consider this a little bit of fan service …

EDIT – Apparently … Shari is not happy that I don’t write posts like this about her … you know, highlighting the reasons I’m going to marry her and such …

Shari … does not smell like poop either … which is why I’m marrying her

Oooooooh! Scary Stuff Kids!

Wednesday, November 1st, 2006

Alright … I’m a geek … I spent the latter part of my All Hallow’s Eve online … but there was a damned good reason for it … check out the cool stuff that was happening in Guild Wars! This is the second annual celebration that they’ve had for Halloween … they modify a number of the towns to reflect the holiday spirit … PLUS … you can get special head gear … which is being modelled here by two of my oldest characters in the game …

Aside from that, a little gaggle of us went to the theatre to check out Nightmare Before Christmas … in 3D … it appeared to be the same kind of tech which they use down in Disney on their 3D rides … I just don’t know if it’s such a good idea to sit through 2 hours of a movie with that effect happening … but it was fun nonetheless … now … if they redo Toy Story with this 3D … ohhhh … yeaaaahhhh …

What A Difference

Monday, October 30th, 2006

I’ll have to take a picture … but man! We just did an office shuffle … and although I was tempted to do the full bore Office Space knock down your cube wall thing … I instead settled for taking out a couple of the cube panels … and I know have a lovely window to the outside world …

Let me tell you … I’ve been stuck looking at an office door for the past two or three years … THIS is a welcome change! There’s even a plant in my view!

As an aisde, thanks to all those who reached out to Shari and me in regards to Freedom’s passing. We do appreciate all of the sentiments, so thanks again.

Bye Bye Baby Bear-io

Wednesday, October 25th, 2006

On Monday October 23rd, Shari and I said goodbye to a dear family member, Freedom. For those of you who didn’t know, she has been having problems as of late, mostly mental. We had tried several medications with her, but they all seemed to last only temporarily.  I personally was only her Daddy for a little under two years. Within that short time thou I fell totally and completely in love with her. This was her gift, for anyone who ever met her fell under her charm. That big pink tongue went a LONG way to making new friends.

I will miss her rumbling towards the front door when I come home. I will miss having the ‘barking’ fights that we used to have. I will miss the big nose and wet tongue waking me up in the mornings. Most of all, I will miss the selfless love that she gave to me and everyone she ever met.

Goodbye my Baby Bear-io. You be a good girl, OK?

The Highs and The Lows

Monday, October 23rd, 2006

Morning everyone … I had my bachelor event this weekend … a couple of us headed out to Windsor … picked up some reinforcements … and then travelled on to Sandusky … I’ll post some pictures once I’ve got them … it was a really fun weekend … DESPITE the fact that Cedar Point was THE busiest I’ve ever seen it … in the six or seven years I’ve been going there, the lineups have NEVER been that bad … in nine hours, we only did FOUR rides!

So the weekend was a High … however three is a Low to report … Freedom’s condition has worsened … she’s been diagnosed with the equivalent of Alzeheimer’s … and so Shari and I have made the decision to put her down this week. I’d talk a bit more about this … however I’m at work and I really don’t want to break down here … so I’ll be saying something more about my baby beario later this week … till then, just smile a little smile for the baby, OK?

What’s Already OFF The Registry

Wednesday, October 18th, 2006

Of course … my one little item down below is going onto the registry because I already picked up something else for myself …

I … am well on my way … to becoming … a Rock GOD … kneel before Zod!!!!

Gift Registry

Wednesday, October 18th, 2006

So Shari and I have basically completed our registry … I’m sure we’ll end up having to add a few more items here and there … I’m thinking I need to slip THIS onto the list somehow … ohhhhh … YEAH …

Remember that Tom Berringer / Billy Zane movie?

This is how I’m going to surprise Shari one of these nights …

It’s ALLLL Booked

Monday, October 16th, 2006

Morning everyone! Shari and I booked the location for the wedding AND reception … the DJ is booked, the officiant is booked, the menu is picked, the dresses are purchased, we’ve got the license application, the photographer is on board, the florist we’re meeting with in a month …

And this weekend I head to Cedar Point with the boys … it started off as a bachelor party event, but it may be downgraded to just a general ‘boys will be boys’ weekend …

Oh … and I won my first week in the hockey pool … I won’t keep updating the roster, but suffice to say it’s looking gooooooood.

Isn’t It A Little Early?

Thursday, October 12th, 2006

So Mark in windsor just informed me that it’s snowing there … RIGHT NOW … sigh … that just seems a little premature to me …

She Turned Me Into A Newt!

Wednesday, October 11th, 2006

Well for a play about witchcraft … there certainly weren’t enough people turning into newts … while the staging and acting were good let me tell you … the Crucible is a LOOOOONNNG winded play … with only four acts … FOUR acts … that’s a long way to go in three and a half hours … I mean, you could even describe it as only FOUR scenes … because there were absolutely NO breaks in each act … which made for a lot of people all coming together rather convienently in one place … who knew that when one child fell ill the entire damned town had to come to her side?

The rest of the weekend was great … the wedding on Sunday was lovely … we had a great time surprising my family on Sunday night with an unplanned drop in for dinner … Shari made an AWESOME dinner on Monday … all kinds of veggies which I ate … happily …

So about the only thing which is a problem these days is the dog … who is doing fine physically but is a mental wreck … the vet seems to think she’s got Alzeheimer’s … so she’s going to be starting a new pill this week … hopefully it does the trick …
