Well … the first big thing that I have to report is that Steve is now engaged … I’d love to give some details, but unfortunately he hasn’t provided any … to any of us … so once I’ve got some details, I’ll fire them out …

On a more festive note, Shari and I had a nice quiet little XMas … we got just about everything we wanted, and one thing we didn’t … Shari’s car was broken in to on Christmas Day night … they took her stereo and a crowbar kit from the trunk … Insurance is covering just about everything, so we’re all good … it’ll just end up being an inconvenience …

Oh and I broke the 1,000 point marker on my XBox 360 … Shari got me two of the Burger King games for my stocking … my god, I can’t believe how much fun they are … I’ve been playing the PocketBike racer for a couple of nights now … and I’ve been building up this craving for whoppers …

OK Kids … time for a story … this past weekend was gingerbread, and it kinda snuck up on us rather quickly … as such, our effort into the construction of a house wasn’t up to our usual calibre … so this isn’t going to be a story about gingerbread … instead it’s going to be a story about Shari’s tooth SHATTERING!

OK so it didn’t actually shatter … but it sounds sooooo much cooler when you say it that way. It did break thou, leaving behind mostly just a filling. So yesterday I shuttled her back and forth from her minor dental surgery. Let me tell you, I’ve enjoyed Shari’s company in many ways over the past couple of years … but yesterday was a WHOLE new way to live the Deller Experience …

I think Marnie put it best … it may have been the first time ever where Shari was actually RELAXED … she almost fell over a good dozen times … and she was sooo cute asking me for food, because she hadn’t eaten since the night before … and to find her, late in the afternoon, curled up in our bed … surrounded by Taco Bell wrappers … just too much for words!

OK … so I may be hooked on Gears of War … not Hooked on Phonics, duh … I’ve now beaten the game on the beginning difficulty … and have started working on the next level up … the game is short, but it is VERY satisfying … there were several points at which I stopped and just said … ‘Damn … I’m such a badass’ …

How much of a badass? This bad baby … or if you prefer …

GLEE!!! So I’ve now spent about a week with the 360 … and it’s everything I was hoping it was going to be … as you can see by my gamertag on the left, I’ve been playing some Gears of War … which IS an awesome game … but it hasn’t just been the games which I’ve been enjoying …

I was playing one of the guys at work across XBox Live, and I can now understand why those who were already on it were saying it was such a big deal … it’s sooooo easy to start chatting with some one and drop into a game with them … Gonzo signed in and started kicking my ass with a minimum of effort …

But I’ve also been using the 360 as a media hub … I grabbed this free server program, TVersity, which is assisting me with sharing all of my files WITHOUT having to use all of the default Microsoft crapola … so Shari and I have been enjoying picture slide shows while listening to the music library … up next will be videos, once I figure out how to get ‘em running …

Oh yeah … plus I was able to download a commercial for something that might tickle my interest … heh heh heh

Well … there was actually a whole bunch of surprises this weekend. The first surprise which I can now reveal was Kristy came into town, and spent the better part of the week with Shari and I … GLEE!!!! Having her around for my birthday was REALLY REALLY sweet! I was glad to be her Jet Lag Decompression Station …

The second surprise I knew about … because someone in my family didn’t know it was supposed to be a surprise … actually … three people didn’t know … possibly more didn’t know but those were the ones who … ANYWAY … the boys (and Shari and Jessica) threw me another stag / bachelor party this weekend … we went to Dave & Buster’s … Dad was there, as was my Uncle Phil … Eric came up, Steve came out … Kristy was already in town … as was Dawg and Kelly … and then of course Dennis and Gilli showed up a little later … all in all it was a great night, even if it ended up with my being a little too sick …

Third surprise? Well since Shari had her shower this weekend, I received from her and the groomsmen what was apparently MY shower gift … a brand new X-Box 360! WOO HOO!!! Which is why you now see my Gamertag over there on the left … because I’m cool like that … god I love that woman … between her and Jessica I am so impressed with this weekend … the two of them went above and beyond to make sure that I was taken care of … I love you both, and you both kick some ass! But only Shari will get sex as a reward …

Well Happy Anniversary to the Timbit Site! I’m posting this ahead of time so that I don’t forget … but this represents five years that I’ve been posting stuff on the web …

Considering that I started off on a crappy little spare desktop … and I’m now up to a throwaway YET server class machine … can I really say that I’ve grown that much?

I know that I personally have grown since I first threw this site up … I’m now engaged … well entrenched in my career … I’ve purchased at least three new game systems since the first post (XBox, Game Boy, PSP) … god, when I made my first post I was 28 … PRE-THIRTY!!!

Anyway … wherever you may be today … or whatever you may be doing … raise your glass in a toast to my little site! Thanks!

So … I’m sitting here in my cube … looking out my little window … the sun has already set … the lights of the city are beginning to twinkle …

Downstairs somewhere is Patrick Roy … they’re inducting him into the Hockey Hall of Fame tonight … god that french man was fun to watch … I still remember that night when he was left in net for too long and blew up at the coach … within days … he was in Colorado … sigh … good times

Plus … it’s official … the wedding invites went into the mail yesterday … which means that some of you may see them as early as tomorrow … if you don’t get one … don’t worry … I’m sure there’s a good reason why we didn’t invite you … it probably doesn’t have anything to do with personal hygene or with that large mole on your neck … Shari and I are very excited about this moment … it’s yet another roadpost on our journey towards the altar … sure, we’ve had the venue booked for almost a month now … but now that we’ve invited people to come out … that adds a certain gravity to it … it’s like … REAL now …

So I received my birthday present a little early this year … I’ve been DYING for a new tattoo … Shari can attest to how much I’ve been driving her nuts, ever since we started watching Miami Ink … every week, it’s been ‘you know what I COULD get …’

So my lovely fiance and several friends all chipped in a couple of bucks and voila! Fresh ink! So what does it mean? Well … Shari loves suns and moons … LOVES them … she’s actually got a little sun tattoo on the back of her right shoulder … soooo … this is my tribute to the love of my life … I got her a ring, she got me a tattoo …

Now she will argue that she ACTUALLY bought me an engagement bicycle … however I think the engagement tattoo is a much better sounding idea …

Just wanted to say congratulations to Sean on following the trend of the rest of us Allied guys … and asking his girlfriend Tina to marry him … good thing she said yes!

So for those keeping score at home … Eric has not only asked, but he has completed the deed and married his lady Lara … Dawg popped the question earlier this year and he and Carm will be wed in the fall I believe … of course, there’s yours truly with the wedding coming up in January … and now Sean … well done gents …

So who does that leave? Hmmmm … is there some big jerky who’s been in a long term relationship who really needs to get on the wagon and do the good deed? STEVIE!!! YOU NEED TO SMARTA UPPA YOUZE ASS AND MAKE AN HONEST WOMAN OF THE JOD-STER!!!
